Abstract | The traditional Cable Television (CATV) infrastructure, built upon outdated technology, faces significant challenges in delivering high-quality service, as companies struggle to maintain customer satisfaction. This paper presents a comprehensive framework for transitioning from CATV to modern Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) systems. Our structured approach includes designing a robust IPTV network architecture, upgrading physical infrastructure, and deploying core components while ensuring seamless integration of customer-facing systems. Post-implementation results based on different telecom studies demonstrate a remarkable reduction in packet loss from 3% to less than 0.5% and a decrease in average latency from 150 milliseconds(ms) to under 30 milliseconds. Furthermore, customer satisfaction scores improved from 65/100 to 85/100, reflecting enhanced service delivery and user experience. This framework not only revitalizes service quality but also optimizes operational efficiency and enhances revenue potential, positioning companies favorably in a competitive digital media landscape. |
